As our Kuest komes to an end, and a new year starts, I can't help but remember Abraham Lincoln's immortal words: "Be excellent to each other, and party on."
Really puts things into perspective.
I'm stalling for time because I didn't make sure Zack put a blurb and picture in here before last night. Here have this picture. Pretty weird, right?
Join zack and most of the war and beast cast for part two of Mortal Kombat: Annihilation!
We talk about the most 10th grade thing you can do, The upside down jenga pyramid that is Mortal Kombat's lore, angry wolf-men and overly sexualized ninja women, pointless mud wrestling, terrifying CGI monsters, wanting to make your dad happy, and oh god Baraka looks so bad
Merry Khristmas, putty patrol! Continuing our Movie Christmas tradition from last year, and based on Listener Votes (damn you all), we watched Mortal Kombat: Annihilation!
Join us as we discuss horrifically bad costumes and acting, magical transportation balls, the best scene exit of all time, and the rest of the crew tries to figure out why Zack likes Mortal Kombat.
It's an out-of-left-field bonus episode as Mike is joined by four new guests: Frankie, Andrew, Jeff, and Kasey. The topic? The inexplicable, confusing, and occasionally creepy first episode of Code Lyoko! On the docket: the birth of a supervillain, two scenes we wished we could skip, a disco gym teacher, and a wikipedia summary that's more rewarding than the show.
Mike is joined by War and Beast's Jordan and Greg as they discuss the first episode of Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters From Beverly Hills! All of the characters are jerks, all of the effects are terrible, the costumes are baffling, and nothing makes sense. It's easily the worst thing we've watched on this podcast. It's also an absolute blast! Also discussed: getting a tattoo on your penis.
The entire crew gathers in The House of Krispy Kreme to finally, finally discuss the power rangers movie. Reactions are mixed, unanimous approval or disapproval goes to almost no aspects. Physical blows are narrowly avoided.
But one thing is for sure: Doughnuts Are Delicious.
Luke, Zack, and Dustin are somehow, against the will of God, gathered together in one room, 1/3 very hungover, and ready to talk to you about a weird ass episode of Akibaranger.
At one point Luke gets so excited he physically grabs Zack by the shoulders and shakes him before placing an out of country call to Jules on her cell phone to discuss Power Rangers at 7 AM her time.
So its one of those episodes.
On this special Valentine's episode, Zack is joined by his elusive wife Adrienne to talk about a show from HER childhood for a change, Airwolf. Or at least that's the pretense, really she's here to tell embarrassing stories about Zack, play with the cat on Microphone and point out all the very, very obvious things that Zack missed during the episode.
Also we discuss Ernest Borgnine's Weird Face, How to Serenade an Eagle, our love of hammy villains, Muammar Gaddafi, Sexy Tassle Dancing, and Airwolf: Hero of all children.
Note: This is part 2 of a single, long discussion. Be sure you've heard part 1 first!
Mike, Matt, Jordan, Emily, and Kendall are all ready to blast their way through the rest of this summary. Emily from The VGM Jukebox joins them, and just in time, because Dr. Robotnik is ready for the boss battle, and he's armed with listener questions!
The Blue Blur has hovered around the edges of this podcast for its entire run. Now, it's finally time to talk about Sonic, as we cover Sonic The Hedgehog: The Movie! What's more, it's a discussion so massive, we had to split it into two parts!
Mike and Matt are joined by War and Beast members Jordan, Emily, and Kendall as they spin dash their way to that spinning sign thing Robotnik always puts at the end of Act 1. What's the deal with that sign, anyway?
What else do you want from me. What information could you possibly want that is not conveyed through that title.
It's part 2 of our Very Merry Mario Christmas! The Mario Brothers are in big trouble as they enter a brave new world full of half-baked ideas inspired by the Mario games in only the most tangential ways possible! Koopa's washing his hands with some kinda goop! The brothers are getting arrested for being plumbers! Toad thinks he's Bob Dylan! The script is coming apart at the seams!
Happy Holidays, Putty Patrollers!
Join Matt, Molly, and host Luke as they begin the discussion of the long promised Mario Brothers Movie! Or at least, ostensibly that's why we're here, first we'll take any excuse to avoid talking about the movie: Marty McFly's Mommy complex, the Molly Movie Club, and of course, Cars 2.
In terms of actually talking about the movie: Molly is in love with Daisy, Luigi is the worst, We discuss the real villain of the Mario Franchise: SCAPELLI, and the most important question of all: Would you kiss Bob Hoskins on the head?!?
Hey everyone! Due to Zack's weird-ass schedule this month, please join Zack and Mike, Toku Expert Jules, and friends of the show VGM Jukebox Hosts Josh & Emily to talk about the first episode of Changeman, a pre-power rangers Sentai from Josh's childhood, and see how it holds up!
Along the way we meet a mentor worse than Zordon, discuss a magic technicolor dream-bullet, argue over whether a monster is cute or horrifying, spread burger-argument madness to our guests, discuss the grossest henchmen ever, and finally have a special guest weigh in on Burger Argument 2: Taco V Sandwhich
Hey everyone, welcome to a special discussion of the Power Rangers 2017 film teaser trailer. We're going to give you a quick breakdown of the trailer itself and then try not to get too heated as we talk about our feelings and impressions on the trailer, how the movie is shaping up, and what something really needs to have to be Power Rangers.
Join Zack and Luke for a very special bonus episode of Teenagers With Attitude where we had the chance to sit down with Tini Howard, part of the writing team for the current MMPR Pink miniseries!
Tini takes time out of her schedule to talk with us about how being part of a comics writing team works, how to write super women as rounded and believable characters, and showing how Kimberly can be an ass-kicking leader and still be feminine.
Don't mess with this planet! Mike, Jules, Tyler, and new friend Peter form their own herd to discuss the first episode of the current season of Super Sentai, Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger! It's a bonus episode that spans three continents... and possibly two parallel earths!
Dustin returns to host yet another bonus episode, this time about a show that is only vaguely related to anime: "Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles." He is joined by cohosts Eric and Jules to discuss the history and cultural significance of the Starship Troopers franchise, the troubled production of the show, and whether or not Roughnecks still holds up to our modern day standards.
Let's go, Kamen Rider Ghost! Mike rides again, this time with Zack and Joe in the sidecars, as they discuss the second episode of KRG.

Join us for our first Bonus Episode in a while as we tackle the Live Action adaptation of Sailor Moon! We battle low budgets and horrendous special effects to cover our shared Girly Anime shame turned to pride, teach returning guest Molly about the extremely confusing lore of Sailor Moon, and Zack explains how it's Sailor Moon's fault that he owns multiple pairs of Tripp Pants.

Hey Putty Patrollers, Join us friend of the show Dustin, our new friend Megan, Jules and Zack for a bonus episode about Akibaranger! We get pretty ribald and talk about one of the weirder peices of Toei history. For real NSFW on this one, I mean it this time!
